I received my first stitch fix a few days ago, so I thought I would give a breakdown of everything I got with some visuals!

So if you don’t already know, Stitch Fix is a website that gives you a personal stylist that sends you new clothing items every month based on a style profile that you fill out! The service costs $20 per shipment, but if you keep any of the items you may use that $20 toward your purchase. You also get $25 credit for every friend you refer to the site! Hint hint. Once you receive your items in the mail, you try them on and send back any that you don’t want within 3 days. You then go online and purchase the items you are keeping.
It took less than two weeks to get my first fix, and I was extremely excited! I wish there was another one on the way already!
Collective Concepts | Jenna Swiss Dot Halter Blouse ($34)
First Impression: Not my style – but I was hopeful that I would like it when trying it on. Unfortunately it was totally wrong. It was too big to begin with, but I think with the correct size it would have still been a no go. I like my shirts to be alittle on the flowey side but the fit of this shirt was very box-like with no shape. Sending this one back.
41 Hawthorn | Teresa Colorblocked Sleeveless Blouse ($58)
This top I was actually very excited about when I saw it in the box. I don’t usually go for bold bright colors but I thought I would like this one! After putting it on though, I didn’t work at all. It was much like the first shirt, being very big and boxy. I had no shape and could feel the breeze coming through underneath! It might be cute if it was a little more fitted and long enough to wear with tights or skinnies. No go on this one as well.
Loveappella | Murietta Knit Top ($48)
Loved this right out of the box. It’s neutral to match my taste with a little pop of color on the pocket. So cute! Unfortunately for me.. it also wasn’t the best fit. It wasn’t terrible but I just didn’t like how it looked on me. It seemed a little big, and the white part was very thin and sheer. Again, I might have liked it more had it been long enough to wear with tights and maybe not such a thin clingy material.
Just Black | Dean Ankle Zip Skinny Jean ($78)
At first look of these jeans I thought Meh… I don’t really need new jeans – and they probably won’t fit anyways. Also pretty pricey. Well I was wrong! These babies fit perfectly! They are a very dark wash (not black like they appear in the photo), have a little stretch and a cute zipper detail on the ankle. Jeans are usually too long on me – unless I can find them in a “short” size – but these were the perfect length. They also fit my bigger-than-average legs and booty nicely =). I checked “ankle length” and that I have short legs on my style profile – which is probably the reason for the perfect length. Keepers!
Mystree | Halima Asymmetrical Zip Jacket ($68)
I was really excited about this one! I love jackets to begin with, and this one is the perfect color and so soft! Something I might have passed up in a store. The asymmetrical zipper makes it unique, which I love – and it’s cute zipped or open. It’s very lightweight – more like a sweater. It would be perfect to wear to work – I’m always cold sitting at my desk! I’m still trying to decide if it’s worth the hefty price tag!
Overall I was very pleased with my experience. Even though I didn’t love all of my items, it was like Christmas morning getting a box of hand-picked clothes in the mail!
I think a few tweaks to my style profile and explaining what I liked and didn’t like about each item to my stylist will result in an even better fix next time.I might have to speed it up – I don’t know if I can wait until next month to do this again!
I hope this helps you get an idea of what Stitch Fix is all about – and I would be happy to answer any questions that I can!
